Kirsty Stonell Walker has researched and written about Fanny Cornforth for almost 30 years. She is the author of Stunner: The Fall and Rise of Fanny Cornforth (2006/2022), Pre-Raphaelite Girl Gang (2018) and Light and Love (2020) as well as two novels, A Curl of Copper and Pearl (2014) and We Are Villains All (2015).

Her blog 'The Kissed Mouth' has published over 800 posts on all aspects of nineteenth-century art history, specialising in the lives of lesser-known female models and artists.
