Joe Tucker originally trained as an animation director at the National Film & Television School before becoming a television scriptwriter. He has co-created and co-written the BBC TV shows Witless, Click & Collect, and Black Ops. He is the nephew of the artist Eric Tucker and the author of a book about him, The Secret Painter.
