Hazel is a writer and has worked freelance on a variety of creative projects. She was the first Writer in Residence at the Royal Scottish Geographical Society and her poetry collection Cutting Letters was published in 2016 by Red Squirrel Press. Hazel previously worked as a coordinator on the Art UK oil paintings digitisation project and is now part-time Regional Digitisation Manager for the sculpture project, as well as being manager to her partner, the composer/pianist, Dmytro Morykit.
