Hello, my name is Georgie Russell! I completed my Art UK placement in 2021 and based in Leicester for University but my home is Shropshire. I am currently in my 3rd year of university studying Fine Art having completed a placement year at a Fine Art Gallery in Ironbridge, Shropshire. I’ve been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil and I now create pet portrait commissions alongside writing art blogs and illustrating for the National Trust. Something I have always felt strongly about is encouraging children into the art world and to get creative, so I would love in the future to inspire as many children (and adults!) as possible to believe in their artistic talent. I’m also keen on content creation, advertising for art events, exhibitions and general social media-based activities as well as the photographic side of documenting it. Overall, I’m so excited to be a part of the Art UK Youth Panel and can’t wait to get involved.
