“For everything there is a season, A time for every activity under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). This well-known verse from the bible has been a source of comfort during the COVID-19 crisis in reassuring and reminding us that nothing is static, and this too, will pass, as we face the future with much resolve and patience.
For many, the year 2020 was also a time for reflection. To pause and think about people, places and the procession of the seasons. The vast swathes of the year where we have been locked down have given us more time to observe the nature and the seasons. This selection of artworks reflects the aspect of each season from cloudless summer skies and sunlit beaches to snowy landscapes and stormy sea in the winter.
