'Curations' has been a great opportunity to gather works inspired by our village, the people and the surrounding landscape. I've tracked down some without 'Aldbourne' in the title or description; such as 'Silver and Grey' by Ambrose McEvoy. There are exterior and interior paintings of Upham House at Upper Upham by Kate Tryon. H.J.P 'Jimmy' Bomford of Laines presented artworks that helped establish Swindon’s collection, including 'Composition' by Jankel Adler, who lived in Castle Street. Thomas and Ruth Lowinsky who lived at the Old Rectory are included. Roger Leigh is also here. The latest addition (July 2021) is George Maton, who may have painted the view of the pond used on the front cover of the Millennium Book.
