The artwork, featuring a wheel set in a pair of wings, was inspired by the town's history of textile manufacturing and the 'Flying Wheel' logo of former knitwear factory I & R Morley. It was the first company logo added onto a piece of clothing. The wheel represents industry and regeneration.
