Portrait of William Dalrymple, Surgeon. Born and educated in Norfolk, he was apprenticed to two court apothecaries and studied under Sir Astley Cooper and Henry Cline at Guy's and St Thomas' before returning to Norwich as Assistant Surgeon and Surgeon at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, 1812–1839.
