Wilfred Owen was a war poet born in Oswestry 1893. The cast bronze statue is of Wilfred in uniform, right leg raised and resting on a rock. There are pages scattered around the ground with handwritten poems. The words of Owen’s poems and children's poems are written by local primary school, secondary schools, and Derwen College students.
