An octagonal stone base, the first section of which is a seat, above which are the panels inscribed with the names of the dead. The octagonal shaft of the cross has buttresses at each corner, with moulded bases, terminating in crocketted pinnacles. The upper section of the shaft is richer in decoration. Above the pinnacles are eight angels holding wreaths, the symbol of victory. The shafts rise to a lantern and richly decorated cross with tracery and crowns. Two smaller angels flank the cross.
