A middle-aged woman leaning against a woodcutting saw looking up solemnly, in the process of cutting up a tree trunk. As she pauses work, she has discarded gloves to the floor, kneel onto the sawing block, rests her right hand below her hip and rests her chin and left hand on top of the saw whilst the saw blade is turned towards her body. Behind the logs in the middleground there is a ladder in the background. Detailed line engraving, with high contrast.
