A stained wooden obelisk, being a model of that erected to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo by the Marquis of Lothian (see inscriptions). It is the only surviving three-dimensional representation of the original monument on Peniel Heugh near Ancrum, which collapsed shortly after construction.
