The work consists of two stone steps based with a pedestal drinking fountain and a bronze book with a stone wreath at the back which form the Second World War memorial. The roman numeral 'MCMXIV XIX' is carved on the top of the fountain which indicates the year of the First World War. The left and right panels consist of the inscriptions of First World War names and the front panel commemorates the erection of the memorial.
