A war memorial in a garden wall to Stanton Court. It has a gabled blind arch in line of the garden wall, a blind archway, four-centred head, chamfered arris and a blank shield in coped gable over, with a horizontal foot each side. There are bulb-shaped finials to the apex and base each side, the latter on pedestals with diamonds in relief on sides. Within the arch, the centre is framed by Jacobean-style Ionic pilasters, on a plinth with a moulded top. The cornice has a swept pediment with a moulded edge and there is a rectangular bronze plaque, eared top and bottom with raised lettering. The archway originally framed the village pump.
