The whitewash on the top of these strokes; however, refers to the bliss, the peace and the security in married life; while the golden detailing symbolizes the ‘decorated’ conventions. Last but not the least, its sky of hope stretches beyond the composition.
The journey its painter took, was an unconventional one. Her reflections on marriage during the course of creating this piece, is a multi-layered act of venting off emotional tribulations. Every time she renewed her vows, as a result of both legal requirements and the coincidental closure of the Iranian Embassy, she compared the vows to what was happening live in life.
