The identical unicorns adorn the ridge of the pavilion roofs of the Council House. The thin spiral horn is very long, longer than the neck. The mane consists of three groups of flying plumes. The front right leg is raised and the hooves of the left legs are set close together. On the neck is a collar or heraldic belt decorated with two small symbols: alternately a Greek cross and a fleur de lys. The long tail rises in three decreasing curves. On the upper part of the unicorn’s flanks, the gilding is patterned or mottled.
