A ten-metre installation, created from 50 multi-coloured, fabricated heads. Inspired by the multiple and complex layers of the NHS, the sculpture's message is one of multi-culturalism and diversity. The artists' statement describes the inspiration behind the sculpture: 'The NHS is made up of a hierarchy where no part is expendable – every single person is important. This is much like the fundamental organisation of man – the tribe'. 'Tribe' provides an engaging, uplifting, aesthetically inspiring environment for patients, visitors and staff to the hospital.
