This landscape is bathed in gentle evening light. There are tiny figures of huntsmen, and a man leading a mule travelling along the road on the right.

This painting is one of a pair with another landscape. They were recorded in the inventory of Brodsworth Hall taken in 1885. They have both traditionally been attributed to Camphuysen because of a paper label on the back, but this has not been confirmed.
