At first glance, this picture may look like a work of complete abstraction. But underneath the varied brushstrokes is a photograph of a pond taken by the artist. McKeever then recalls his memories of extreme weather conditions experienced in places such as the Shetland Isles and the Faroes. He uses paint to express how he felt as he covers over the photograph.
