This artwork employs a bold composition, merging representation and abstraction, and a cyclical and bird’s eye view – devices Egonu introduced to his work in 1966 and are characteristic of Igbo art traditions. The cyclical composition creates a vortex of movement in the architecture that captures the exuberant and frenetic spirit of 1960s London.
