The artist created this piece especially for the Guildhall Art Gallery's permanent collection, focused on London stories. It is a fascinating portrayal of south London’s black communities, each photograph capturing beautiful and compelling moments of everyday black life, mostly in Brixton and Peckham, in over 25 years of rich history. 'Top Shelf' interweaves different diasporic narratives, highlighting family, love and friendships whilst also exploring cultural nuances.
