This is Blairhoyle Masonic Lodge.

The painting was donated by the owner of a local newspaper in c.1938 (the latest date of donation). A painting called 'Thornhill' was also displayed in the Stirling Fine Art Association 1938 in the museum at £25 and may be the same as a Glasgow Institute painting in an exhibition from two years prior. It is very likely that this is the one that the donor bought and gifted to the museum.
