Softly painted view of a solitary sailing boat on the still, shallow waters of a lake. The tall mast and sails are reflected in the water below. There is a quiet atmosphere to the painting, created through the minimal composition and the use of muted tones such as pale brown, off-white and grey. There is land surrounding the lake, and hills are just visible in the background beneath the expanse of clouded sky.
