Ym 1913 bu'r SS 'Black Rock' mewn gwrthdrawiad â llong arall a suddodd ym Mae Lerpwl. Cafodd ei hail-arnofio a'i phrynu gan y Capten William Thomas, rheolwr iard long Amlwch fel prosiect adfer i'w weithwyr. Ym 1915, wrth iddi orwedd yn y doc sych, tarodd gwynt gogleddol gan daflu tonnau'n uchel dros waliau'r harbwr. Llenwodd y doc sych â dŵr y môr, gan beri iddi dorri'n rhydd o'i chynhalwyr a malu trwy gatiau'r doc. Gan chwalu i'r pier, dymchwelodd oleudy'r harbwr, yna gorweddodd ar ei hochr gan rwystro mynedfa'r porthladd. Llwyddodd gweithwyr yr iard i godi’r llong, ac yna ei ail ffitio a’i ail enwi’n Eleth. In 1913, the SS 'Black Rock' collided with another vessel and sank in Liverpool Bay. She was re-floated and purchased by Captain William Thomas, manager of Amlwch shipyard as a restoration project for his workers.
