Prince Consort' was an iron paddle steamer which mainly voyaged from Leith to Lerwick. The ship was wrecked on Aberdeen's North Pier on 11th March 1863 which resulted in the vessel breaking in two. The 'Prince Consort' was salvaged and rebuilt but was destined for further mishap four years later.
