A rectangular version of the composition seen also in Sassoferrato P126. A comparison of the two works demonstrates the consistently high quality of Sassoferrato’s repetitions. This picture may have been acquired by the 4th Marquess of Hertford as a superior example of the subject to be kept with him in his Parisian collection rather than in London.
