The piece is a life-size replica of the 'Blue Thin Tunny' and is a seven-foot (2.1 m) fish resting on a twelve foot (3.7 m) tall stand. The sculpture represents Scarborough during the 1920s and 1930s when the 'Blue Thin Tunny' was a known sporting fish and were abundant of the Yorkshire Coast.
