A shop interior. A glass cabinet hangs in the upper left corner filled with various bottles. A glass-topped counter is partly visible at the left margin. At the centre stand two men arguing. The man on the left is dressed in a dark frock coat, trousers and top hat. The man on the right is in his shirtsleeves and is wearing a waistcoat and apron. They both have a moustache and look aggressively at each other. The man on the right is trying to stop the other from leaving through the door at the right margin by standing in front of it and grabbing his right arm and holding the doorknob. The other man is attempting to reach the doorknob with his left hand.
