Reuben Chappell is a well known maritime painter who lived in Goole. He is often referred to as the Pierhead Painter of Goole. The trail is made up of an installation of framed reproductions of twelve paintings of ships, set in various locations around Goole. Each painting is sited at a location with a special historical significance. Trail guides can be obtained at Goole Museum and Library, Carlisle Street, Goole.
