A middle-aged man with grey hair and mutton chops stands on the left. He has one hand in his pocket and holds a handkerchief in the other. he looks thoughtfully to the ground. Two women, one very young, stand opposite him on the right. They are holding hands and she older one kisses the younger on the temple. She is wearing a coat and bonnet. A third woman stands behind the couple. All three women look very happy. The illustrator's initials are in the lower left and the engraver's signature in the lower right corner.
