The Passion Stones were thought to have originally adorned Trinity Collegiate Church, which was demolished to make way for Waverley Railway Station. It is not known how the stones came to be at Astley Ainslie Hospital in Edinburgh. Two of the stones were stolen from the hospital in 2017.
