White marble on white marble socle, this is a portrait bust of the Marchioness of Bristol who married Frederick William Hervey, 5th Earl of Bristol and 1st Marquess of Bristol in 1798. It was carved in Florence, during the family's prolonged European tour (1817–1821). A pair with a bust of the Marchioness's husband, now at Felbrigg Hall.
