A sculpture showing a stretch of DNA with a base flipped out. DNA base flipping was discovered by Xiaodong Cheng and Richard Roberts. The sculpture of a DNA double helix, was unveiled on 15 March 2005 by Dr Richard Roberts in the entrance hall of the newly-refurbished East Wing of the Department of Chemistry, University of Sheffield, renamed the 'Sir Richard Roberts Building'.
