The artist must have been painting this picture from the Dairy Bridge in Wilton Park, looking over the little River Nadder to the ornate Palladian Bridge. The Palladian Bridge was designed by the 9th Earl of Pembroke, with Roger Morris in 1736/1737.

Wilton House has been the country seat of the Earls of Pembroke for over 400 years.
