The triptych celebrates the achievements of The College Ystrad Mynach and its learners at its annual prize giving ceremony at Caerphilly Castle. The College is shown set in its community, a living and vibrant centre of that community. The artist has carefully stretched the perspective to set the College in a seven or eight mile stretch of the Rhymney Valley showing local features such as Tredomen Rocks, Twyn Road Chapel and The Royal Oak.
