This sculpture features Robert Baden-Powell blowing the Kudu Horn, and is No. 2 of an edition of 100. The ‘Kudu Horn’ horn is from a Kudu, a species of antelope. The horn was brought back from South Africa by Robert Baden-Powell. It was used at the experimental Scout camp at Brownsea Island, Dorset in 1907. It produces a low deep noise, which travels well over long distances, and was perfect to call the boys to start activities. It was later used at Gilwell Park during leader training courses. The Kudu Horn is an iconic and unique object from The Scout Association Heritage Collection.
