An emerging talent when he painted this piece, Guy was known for his tongue-in-cheek, pop art studies of rubber dinghies and motor bikes. However, he feels that his work is not about pretending to be naïve or trying to be alternative; he would be happy enough to be known as a local artist in his neighbourhood.
