Standing in a semi-circle are a group of dinosaurs. These seem to be a tyrannosaurus, a brontosaurus, a woolly mammoth, a very happy looking brachiosaurus and a stegosaurus. The dinosaurs were produced by workers on the Government Youth and Employment Training Scheme at Amarc Training and Safety Ltd, East Middlesbrough Trading Estate. The scheme aimed to help unemployed people gain experience, enhanced prospects and benefit the local community. The park hoped to attract visitors and new industries to the former Ironmasters District, which once produced one third of Britain’s pig iron.
