Brown wooden board, again not of the best quality which has large chamfered edges the entire way around the painting, Munnings would have used this to store the boards in his wooden boxes to prevent them from smudging other paintings. The main focus is a large bush of what appears to be an experimentation of elder flowers, painted with highlights of a pale yellow and white. On the outer edge of the bush there seems to be finer detail added with finer brushstrokes compared with the rest of the painting which almost blurs into a mass of green and brown. Munnings seems to be experimenting with light and shade as much of the area around the bush especially in the bottom left-hand corner is put into much darker colours, clearly from the direction the light is hitting the tops of the elder bush.
