Study of a battle scene featuring an angel. On the right are two armoured knights about to enter battle on horseback. They hold shields and lances. In the centre is a flying angel holding a sword in it's right hand. In the background, on the left, are soldiers at battle with figures on horses slaying figures on the ground. Drawn in outline in pen and ink with wash, pencil and black crayon? for tone. Study occupies the lower left corner of the paper. Paper has the watermark 'MIL[L?]'
