Domestic still life group painted using a wax resist technique, comprising of two pears on the left, lying next to a decorative glass vase to the right. The subjects depicted are somewhat two dimensional; the subjects merge with the background in this sense and seem to share its decorative qualities. Hatching and 'scribble' marks define the background, resembling plant or floral motifs. The colours are naturalistic and somewhat muted, with predominantly brown and orange tones used.
