Elaborate still life group of flowers and fruit within an arched recess. Flowers arranged in a tall asymmetrical bouquet with heavy roses beneath, topped with carnations, peonies, sweet pea and foxgloves. Fruit is arranged around a stone pedestal beneath, comprising from left to right; black grapes, a melon, walnuts, a fig, plums, a pineapple and white grapes. There is a small mouse sitting on a corn cob beneath the grapes in the bottom left corner.
