The memorial consists of rectangular white plaques attached to the wall designed to resemble funeral cards with a black border and black handwritten job titles of the men and women that worked at St Pancras and left their work to fight and die for their country. The job titles are displayed as follows: milk and fish porter, axlebox cleaner, conductor, greaser, numbertaker, horse driver, carman, gasfitter, farrier, examiner, meat pitcher, plateman, stoker, junior chain-horse youth, scotcher, 'a' labourer, under-shunter, cloakroom porter, cook, head shunter, fitter’s assistant, junior machine youth, coal porter, page canvasser’s clerk, incandescent burner attendant, pointholder, barman, capstan youth, delivery sheet registrar .
