At centre of image is St. John's Kirk. The Kirk has a square tower at centre with numerous tall, narrow glassless windows (possibly arrowslits), culminating in a spire with a weathervane at the top. To left of the tower is a single-storey section with arched, mullioned windows, two doors in the front-facing wall, a door within an archway on the left-facing wall, and dormer- and non-dormer windows in the roof. A shorter section of the same height protrudes from the front of the tower, and this section also has arched mullioned windows, and non-dormer windows in the roof.
