A veined white Carrara marble statue, perhaps representing Spring, with a bird on her right shoulder. The Victorian subject is portrayed in the manner of much mid-nineteenth century romantic sculpture. She is wearing a cloth cap and her head is tilted to her right as she looks upon a pet bird which is perched upon her shoulder. She is lifting up her left arm in an effort to feed the bird. Her right hand clasps and lifts the folds of her classically inspired tunic to the centre and this may contain seeds (there has been some damage here). Her left leg is straight, the right slightly bent, and the whole is structurally re-enforced by a tree stump behind her left leg. This piece is possibly Italian.

It is raised on an English Ketton, or possibly Silsoe, stone pedestal.
