Mrs Myers with spinning wheel at Holme Ground. She and her mother learned to spin flax and made their own linin sheets, which were still in use in the 1950s. John Everett Millais' portrait of 'Cherry Ripe' was of her Great Aunt, painted whilst Millais was staying with Ruskin.
