A spandrel from a doorway carved with a barrel, foliage and fruit (pears, perhaps). It is similar to an overmantel (accession number S1450) and probably both carvings adorned the same abbey building. It was retrieved from a farmhouse garden rockery in West Pennard. This was reported by Dr T. F. Hopkinson-Ball in 'Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society Proceedings', Vol. 153, 2010.
