A stone sculpture of an Argyll & Sutherland Highland soldier, with his hand on his revolver, standing protectively over a wounded comrade. The figures are set on top of a stepped, two-stage ashlar square stone pedestal with a carved coat of arms and inscription on the convex south face. Above the coat of arms is a winged dragon. Below is a roundel, depicting a castle by a river with trees to either side, surmounted by a ribbon and laurels. The north face contains a bronze plaque. There is a moulded pediment to the upper edge of the pedestal. The memorial was originally in a memorial garden. It now stands within the Alloa Glebe Conservation Area off centre towards the north of the site, centred on a circular hard standing with three radial footpaths extending out towards the north west, south and north east.
