The artist was a full time painter and lecturer at both Chelsea and Wimbledon Schools of Art. Her works were exhibited at, amongst other places, the Whitechapel Art Gallery, the Serpentine and Tate. The artist's subject matter is often detailed scenes and images of the landscape taken from her memory. Her colour palette is warm and muted, whilst managing to maintain a strength of line and texture.
