The design of the five wind towers on Eden Court's new 2007 wing responds to the innovative eco-friendly use of wind to ventilate it. The colours reflect the blue of a Scottish summer sky and slate grey to reflect the impressive slate wall below the work, while mirrored surfaces reflect the prevailing weather. At night, the work reveals another surprise on the face of the front tower when it is illuminated by light reflected from a shallow mirrored rooftop pool – a visual reflection of the wind.
